Black Girls' Trip to Egypt: Private Women's Heritage Journey

8 days / 7 nights · Private small group · From $1390 USD

The girls' trip that finally leaves the group chat: eight private days through Cairo, Aswan and Luxor — golden-hour feluccas, queens' history and a five-star cruise, all planned for you.

Overview

You have planned enough girls' trips to know the difference between a vacation and a production. This one is pure vacation: eight days through Cairo, Aswan and Luxor where the only thing your crew decides each day is what to wear in the photos. It is private — just your girls, your Egyptologist and your own schedule — and it is paced like a celebration: slow mornings, golden-hour feluccas, dinners that run long. The history hits different here too. This is the land of Hatshepsut, Nefertari and the warrior queens of Nubia, and your guide makes sure their stories headline the itinerary, from the Pyramids to Abu Simbel to a living Nubian village that will fill every camera roll. Behind the scenes our Cairo team runs everything — transfers, tickets, restaurant tables, the optional sunrise balloon — so the trip planner in your group finally gets to just be on the trip.

Highlights

  • A fully private girls' trip — your crew, your pace, your own Egyptologist
  • A colourful Nubian village near Aswan The queens headline the history: Hatshepsut, Nefertari and Nubia's warrior kandakes
  • Sailing a felucca on the Nile Golden-hour felucca sails and the photo stops planned into every single day
  • A Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan Four nights on a five-star Nile cruiser with slow mornings and long dinners
  • The Khan El Khalili bazaar in Cairo Khan el-Khalili with a guide who handles the hagglers while you shop
  • The trip planner in your group finally gets to relax — our Cairo team runs it all

Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Wheels down, shoulders down

Meet-and-assist walks your crew through Cairo Airport to a private transfer, and the first evening stays deliberately open — settle in, get dressed, and toast the fact that after all those group-chat polls, you are actually here.

  2. Day 2: Pyramids first, then Tutankhamun

The Giza plateau with your Egyptologist and generous time for photos — the Sphinx, the panorama point, the shots you have been saving outfits for — then the Grand Egyptian Museum and the treasures of Tutankhamun in the afternoon.

  3. Day 3: Coptic Cairo, the bazaar, then south

Old Cairo's churches in the morning, then Khan el-Khalili with your guide managing the sales pitches while you hunt gold, spices and gifts over mint tea. An afternoon flight south to Aswan, where your cruiser and your cabins are waiting.

  4. Day 4: Philae, Nubia and THE felucca sunset

The island Temple of Philae by boat, an afternoon in a living Nubian village painted every colour your camera can hold, then the golden-hour felucca sail through Aswan's islands — the photo that ends up framed on somebody's wall.

  5. Day 5: Abu Simbel and the warrior queens

An early run south to Abu Simbel — Ramses' colossi and Nefertari's own temple beside them — while your guide tells the stories of the kandakes, Nubia's warrior queens, on the road back. Sailing on to Kom Ombo as the sun drops.

  6. Day 6: Temples, then absolutely nothing

Kom Ombo and Edfu in the cool hours, then a deliberately lazy afternoon on deck — pool, playlists and the Nile sliding by. Not every great day needs an itinerary.

  7. Day 7: Balloons, kings and the last supper

For the early risers, an optional sunrise hot-air balloon over Luxor's West Bank. Then Karnak and the Valley of the Kings with your guide, and a farewell dinner that nobody wants to end.

  8. Day 8: Home before the group chat calms down

A slow morning, a private transfer and meet-and-assist through the airport — while the votes come in on which photo becomes everyone's new profile picture.
