Black Women's Solo-Friendly Egypt Tour: Travel Solo, Never Alone

7 days / 6 nights · Private (solo-friendly) · From $845 USD

A 7-day Egypt journey for the Black woman travelling solo — every transfer arranged, every question answered honestly, every evening checked in on, and every moment still entirely yours.

Overview

Every Black woman who has planned a solo trip to Egypt has asked the same questions: Is it safe for me? What do I wear? How do I get around without being hassled? This journey was designed around honest answers. You never hail a taxi — every transfer is a private driver who knows your name. You never guess at dress codes — your host walks you through what works for mosques, temples and the bazaar before day one. And you are never actually alone unless you want to be: a licensed Egyptologist guides your days, your host checks in each evening, and our Cairo team answers WhatsApp at any hour. What is left is the trip itself — the Sphinx at morning light, Hatshepsut's temple and the story of the woman who ruled Egypt as king, a felucca drifting past Nubian villages — experienced at your pace, on your terms, with the logistics invisible. Read our honest guides for Black women travelling to Egypt solo before you go; then come see it for yourself.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Met before immigration

The hardest step of a solo trip is landing alone — so you don't. Meet-and-assist greets you before passport control, your private driver takes you to your hotel, and your host settles you in with the practical rundown: dress norms, cash, a local SIM, and exactly how to reach us at any hour.

  2. Day 2: Giza and Tutankhamun, unhurried

The Giza plateau with your Egyptologist — slow, generous time at the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx for the story and the photographs you came for — then the Grand Egyptian Museum in the afternoon, wandering Tutankhamun's galleries at whatever pace the wonder demands.

  3. Day 3: Old Cairo and the bazaar, pressure-free

The churches of Coptic Cairo in the morning, then Khan el-Khalili with your guide running interference — the hagglers get handled while you take in the gold, the spices and the mint tea, with honest tips for shopping solo without the pressure.

  4. Day 4: Fly south to Karnak

A short flight to Luxor and an afternoon in Karnak Temple as the light turns gold. Your driver and guide handle every step of every transfer — one of the quiet luxuries of this trip is that you never once stand on a curb wondering how to get somewhere.

  5. Day 5: The woman who ruled as king

The Valley of the Kings, then Hatshepsut's great cliff temple — built by the woman who took the throne of Egypt and ruled as pharaoh. Your Egyptologist tells her story properly. Then the road south toward Aswan.

  6. Day 6: Aswan's islands and living Nubia

A felucca sail at golden hour among the granite islands, and an afternoon in a living Nubian community — colour, music and a warmth that many of our guests say is the moment the whole trip clicks. Evening free, host check-in as always.

  7. Day 7: Home, escorted to the gate

A private transfer and meet-and-assist through the airport. You came alone; you leave having proven the trip everyone said was complicated is simply a matter of having the right people on the ground.
