A 6-day boutique sailing experience on a traditional wooden Dahabiya.
For those who want the luxury of a Dahabiya but have a shorter timeframe. Fly directly into Luxor and spend 5 nights gently sailing up the river to Aswan, docking at smaller islands that the massive cruise ships cannot reach.
Arrive at Luxor Airport where you will be met and transferred to your luxurious Dahabiya. Settle into your boutique cabin and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on board. In the afternoon, meet your guide to explore the colossal Karnak Temple and the beautifully preserved Luxor Temple.
Disembark early to explore the famed West Bank. Descend into the vibrant tombs of the Valley of the Kings, visit the striking terraced Temple of Hatshepsut, and view the towering Colossi of Memnon. Return to the Dahabiya as it sets sail upriver toward Esna, enjoying tea time on the sun deck.
Wake up to the gentle sounds of the river. Disembark at Edfu and take a horse-drawn carriage to the incredibly well-preserved Temple of Horus. Return to the boat for lunch as you sail toward Kom Ombo, docking in the evening for dinner under the stars.
Step off the boat to explore the unique double temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile and falcon gods. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on the deck as the Dahabiya makes its final sailing stretch toward the beautiful, granitic islands of Aswan. Visit the romantic Philae Temple before dinner.
Enjoy a completely free morning to relax, or take an optional early-morning overland trip to the majestic Abu Simbel temples. In the afternoon, board a traditional wooden felucca sailboat to silently glide around the beautiful Botanical Gardens and Elephantine Island.
Enjoy your final breakfast on the Dahabiya. Say goodbye to the crew, check out of your cabin, and meet your driver for a private transfer to Aswan Airport for your onward journey.
